The death of actor-comedian Robin Williams shook the whole world. It was an unexpected turn of events and I hope he rests in peace now. I offer my condolences to his family as well.

Undisclosed is his last will and testament. In relation to that, why don’t we take a look at various wills left behind by deceased celebrities? Below is a brief list of famous people who passed away and the wills they left behind.

Whitney Houston

Whitney Houston (1963-2012)

Houston left her will to her daughter, Bobbi Kristina, as her sole heir. Yet allegedly, it was not her last will. The initial executor was Whitney’s mother, Cissy Houston. But everyone agreed that Whitney would have wanted her sister-in-law, Pat Houston, to act as so.

Whitney didn’t leave anything for Bobby Brown both in the 2000 and 2004 update of the will.

  1. Michael Jackson

Jackson’s siblings labeled the will as “fraudulent.” Even though such is the case, the previous will and testament will still be in effect as per the law. There were no major changes between the old will and the updated one.

  1. Heath Ledger

Ledger’s will stirred some controversy over family members. His father, Kim Ledger, asserted that his granddaughter had the absolute priority for the will. He also stated that Michelle Williams, the mother, is part of the Ledger family.

Disputed was the legal status of Heath’s among relatives. Ledger left the will to his parents and sisters. Yet as per legal advice given, Ledger’s daughter Matilda Rose is also entitled to the share. Thus, she received $16.3 million from Heath’s father, saying that the family gave everything to Matilda.

Such actors and actresses have left a legacy in one way or another. But their respective wills are there to leave something behind for loved ones.

You might want to add to the list if you know some more celebrities. Why don’t you do so? I’d love to hear from you.

Another Bizzare Case: Lawyer Smacks Judge with Flyswatter

Just when we thought court cases couldn’t get any more ridiculous following that brawl between a Florida judge and a public defender, we now have something even more bizarre: A lawyer smacks a judge repeatedly with a flyswatter.

You read that right—a flyswatter. What’s the world coming to? And here I thought odd court cases are isolated, but then, we have this.

Evgeniy Tankov, a 35-year-old lawyer from Kazakhstan, was not at all happy with the court decision in an inheritance case. When things took a turn against his client, Tankov took a flyswatter. He supposedly approached the judge and said, “Let’s not hang about arguing the law here, let’s decide this with flyswatters.” And there, he began swatting away!

The judge at first tried to ignore the swatting but was later annoyed and began wrestling with Tankov and later on, he landed some fists upon the lawyer.

And what’s happened to the Kazakh lawyer? He’s been banned from practicing his profession and is currently facing criminal charges.

Why exactly did he start that duel using flyswatters? Well, he’s supposed to show that the Kazakh justice system is a huge joke. I guess the joke was on him, as he’s been jailed for the deed. After all, he started it.

Honestly, I’m not sure if whether I should be appalled or laugh at how hysterical the whole event is. Perhaps we’re not getting enough bizarre cases here in our country hence, my reaction to the whole thing.

Well, a flyswatter is better than any other lethal weapon brought to court.

My Thoughts on the Orlando Bloom-Justin Bieber Issue

Just recently, the media was rocked by news of Orlando “Legolas” Bloom swinging a punch at Justin Bieber. While I’m not an avid fan of Bloom, I’m pretty much on his side. I mean, Bieber’s a spoiled brat who’s gotten his head in the clouds.

I definitely don’t know what to say to the assertion that Bieber provoked Orlando Bloom, who had been in the showbiz industry for years now. At least show some respect, Biebs.

I’m wondering if any of the two sides can sue the offending party. Bloom did throw punches, but Bieber uttered slanderous remarks, especially regarding Orlando’s estranged wife, supermodel Miranda Kerr.

In legal terms, Slander is defined as:

“… oral defamation, which causes harm against one’s reputation.”

Slander can be a basis for a lawsuit. Regarding the case, Bieber alleged to have said statements regarding him and Miranda Kerr just to provoke Bloom. (And others say that Leonardo di Caprio was present!)

I honestly couldn’t understand why Justin Bieber had to pull something like that off.

It was a good thing the whole conflict was injury and lawsuit free, because Orlando Bloom missed Bieber.

Of course, Bieber was still up to no good, denying Bloom entry to a star-studded party at Ibiza a couple of days after the punching incident, yet the English actor seemingly isn’t bothered.

So what’s next for the both of them? We can only stay tuned.
